Available in English, Dutch, French and Spanish, the TOSA DigComp Assessment can be used for recruiting, to assess training needs, or to assess
the efficiency of a digital skills training program. It tests candidate proficiency in various technological areas and programs,
delivering a score between 1 and 1,000. The tests contain images and videos, as well as questions in which the candidate performs actions directly
within the various software applications. The questions test 5 different skill areas: The questions in this category cover the essential concepts related to searching strategies and updating information and content in
the digital environment, for example: identifying different types of websites, the analysis and assesment of the reliability of data sources and the organization and treatment of
digital content in a structured environment (downloading files, using images and forms, etc.).
The candidate is tested on thier knowledge of digital tools and technologies in collaborative processes (social networks, online conference, online discussion, etc.),
as well as on co-construction and the creation of appropriate data and resources. Questions also include referencing and providing data practices,
and the candidate's competencies in using public and private digital services, and managing a digital identity.
This category analyzes the candidate's ability to understand the enforcement of copyright laws and legal aspects of different types of licenses. It
also evaluates their skills in making and editing digital content in various formats (social networks, messaging, etc.), as well as their ability
to modify, improve and integrate information into an existing body of knowledge through the use of different operations systems, a RSS feed, etc.
The candidate will demonstrate their abilities to protect devices and digital content through the use of anti-malware applications,
and understand the risks and security measures in the protection of personal data in different contexts (social networks, email, etc.)
The category also assesses the candidate's knowledge of the environmental impacts of digital technologies and their use.
The candidate is assessed on their level of proficiency in identifying and solving technical problems when operating peripherals and digital environments.
They will also be tested on their knowledge of the technological observation tools to improve and develop their digital skills.
